Shakepay is a Canadian app built around buying Bitcoin with money from your bank. You move Canadian dollars in with Interac e-Transfer, buy Bitcoin, and send it to any Bitcoin address, which is exactly how you pay an Apollo Group TV invoice from Canada.
The slowest part is usually the first deposit. Interac transfers often arrive quickly, but a new account or a large amount can take longer. Fund Shakepay before you open your invoice and the rest takes a few minutes.
- 1Canadian bank (Interac)
- 2Buy Bitcoin in Shakepay
- 3Send to the Apollo invoice address
- 4Login appears in My Account
What you need
- A Canadian bank account with Interac e-Transfer
- The Shakepay app and a verified Shakepay account (photo ID and selfie)
- Your Apollo Group TV invoice in Plans & Billing
Step-by-step instructions
Before you pay: set up and fund Shakepay
Step 1: Create and verify your account
Install Shakepay, sign up and complete identity verification. Shakepay asks for a government photo ID and a selfie, and checks them before you can deposit.
Step 2: Deposit Canadian dollars by Interac
Tap Add funds, choose Interac e-Transfer and send money from your bank to the details Shakepay shows you. Use the exact email and message Shakepay gives you, or the deposit can get stuck.
Pro tip: Deposit a bit more than your pack's price. Bitcoin's price in CAD moves, and you'll want room for the network fee.
Step 3: Wait for the deposit to land
Your Shakepay balance updates when the transfer arrives. Shakepay may hold new deposits before they can be sent out as Bitcoin; the app tells you if so.

Step 4: Open your invoice
Choose a pack on Apollo Group TV. Press Continue Payment on your invoice.
Step 5: Choose Shakepay and press Pay Now
Select Shakepay (or Bitcoin Wallet). The payment window shows the wallet address, the exact Amount to Send (BTC) and how long that amount is locked.

Step 6: Buy Bitcoin
In Shakepay, tap Buy, choose Bitcoin and enter a CAD amount slightly above your invoice. Shakepay shows the rate it's offering for the next few seconds; review it and confirm before it refreshes. The Bitcoin appears in your Shakepay wallet right away.
Step 7: Tap Send and choose Bitcoin
From your wallet screen, tap Send and select Bitcoin.
Step 8: Paste the Apollo address
Paste the wallet address from the payment window, or scan the QR code. Shakepay may ask for two-factor confirmation for new addresses.
Step 9: Enter the BTC amount exactly
Enter the Amount to Send (BTC) from your invoice. Make sure you're entering BTC, not CAD.
Note: If Shakepay deducts a network fee from the amount, add that fee so the address still receives the full invoice amount.
Step 10: Confirm the send
Check the address and amount, then confirm. Shakepay shows the transaction in your history once it's broadcast.
Step 11: Press I Have Paid
Return to the Apollo window and press I Have Paid so our team knows to watch for your payment.
Shakepay habits that save time
A few small habits make Shakepay payments painless, especially the first time:
- Turn on two-factor authentication; Shakepay asks for it on new send addresses anyway.
- Copy the Interac deposit details from the app each time instead of from an old email.
- Fund your account a day ahead for larger packs, in case the first deposit is held.
- Keep the Apollo payment window open on your computer and use Shakepay on your phone, so the QR code is easy to scan.
Paying in CAD, priced in USD
Apollo Group TV packs are priced in US dollars. The payment window converts that price to Bitcoin at the moment you open it. Shakepay converts your Canadian dollars to Bitcoin at its own rate. Buying a few dollars extra covers the difference between the two.
What happens next?
The payment window checks the Bitcoin network every 15 seconds. When your transaction appears it changes to Payment detected, and once the network confirms it the invoice is marked paid. You can close the window at any time; the check keeps running on our side.
Paid invoices go to our team for activation. We create your IPTV login, and it appears in My Account with your username, password, playlist links and expiry date. You'll also get a notification in your dashboard. If you pressed I Have Paid, the Payment Under Review page updates on its own while you wait.
